I am trying to wire 2 4 channel amps to my head unit, but I only have 2 sets of preouts, and one sub out. Do I split the preouts at the HU with Y connectors or split it at the amp??(probably simple...I have no clue, but I want to do the install myself)
You can connect both front and rear set output to a 4 channel amp and the sub out to 4 channel amp (select front and Rear combine on the 2nd 4 channel amp). But in this case, you have to run your sub as stereo 2 channel (bridge) ( a 4 channel amp can not be brigde into a mono amp).
