my amp will shut off but when i turn the car off then back on the amp will power back up but then shut off again after a few minutes. bad amp?? its a sound storm
i have a switch to cut the amp on and off. you know so when i go to a ghetto area i just turn that amp off. so when the amp "goes into protection" i just turn the switch off then back on and it will work for a lil bit then will shut back off. I'm running 2 10in Rockford p2, i have the amp set up as bridged so both subs are actually run to one channel. could that cause this
having ur subs bridged wouldnt cause this. unless its sony or sumthin. When i say "go into protection" it means when the amp is over working and getting to hot. does the amp feel hot when it turns off? like i said, check ur gain on the amp, and maybe check to see if you have ur subs wired correctly so its not presenting an ohm load that it cant take.
