I just bought 2 cvx 12" subds and a KX 2500.1 amp. Do I really need to get a new battery, a new altenator, and a compacitor? Is this stuff really necessary?
you'll no doubt need an Alternator. changing to a deep cycle battery can't hurt. a cap will stabalize the voltage for the amp and make it a little more responsive, but really isn't nesicary.
For that much power, you should consider Nate's HO alternator. New battery is not required unless you're having problems. Capacitor is only useful after aternator upgrade.
Depending on your self control, you could blow your alternator/battery or both and get stranded. If you can't afford it now, then just keep the volume down.
