Enclosure Compatibility

Recommended Sealed Box Volume: The sealed box sizes recommended by Alpine range from 0.57 cu/ft to 1.0 cu/ft. Within this range, the ideal size recommended by Alpine is 0.85 cu/ft,

Recommended Vented Box Volume: The vented box sizes recommended by Alpine range from 0.75 cu/ft to 2.0 cu/ft. Within this range, the ideal size recommended by Alpine is 1.7 cu/ft. A slot port with the following dimensions should be used with the 1.7 cu/ft enclosure: W=12", H=1.25", L=21". If you cannot use a slot port in your enclosure, you will need a port tube with the following dimensions: Diameter=3", L=9.9".

Hey all....
Have any of you bought a high out put alternator to run this stuff?
If so,
From where?
and is it performing well?
I got 2 10" subs plus a cooling fan for the motor and one for the oil cooler then of course at night I have the lights on. It's a huge draw....

I just built one kinda like that for my R's and it pounds. Altough I am unshure of what it is tuned to.

Upload

It only took me ~3-4 hours to make, And you can get all of the pieces out of 1 4'1" by 8'1" sheet of MDF if you have a table saw.

"what is a cuft box?"
How many CuFt of air there is inside the box.

"and how do you determine the subs displacement?"
Depends on the sub most subs come with a sheet that tells you the displacement of the sub.

Net is airspace before displacement.

Gross is after displacement.

Like on a paycheck.

Its 19" on the side and the one I forgot was 4".
I am unshure of what it would be tuned to I just know its lower than my box because of port area but it should not be too different you wil have 31" if port that should tune it around 30hz I think .
