If so, From where? and is it performing well? I got 2 10" subs plus a cooling fan for the motor and one for the oil cooler then of course at night I have the lights on. It's a huge draw.... |

Silver Member Username: GoatinU.S.A Post Number: 733 Registered: Jan-06 | I just built one kinda like that for my R's and it pounds. Altough I am unshure of what it is tuned to. It only took me ~3-4 hours to make, And you can get all of the pieces out of 1 4'1" by 8'1" sheet of MDF if you have a table saw. |
Bronze Member Username: TippindownPost Number: 40 Registered: Mar-06 | how do u tune a box? does it just have to do with how big it is?? because im getting to type r's too and was wondering |
Silver Member Username: GoatinU.S.A Post Number: 734 Registered: Jan-06 | http://www.accelerator-pedal.com/l-ported-box.htm I dont know exactly how to tune but this site will build you a tuned box design instantly. |
Bronze Member Username: TippindownPost Number: 44 Registered: Mar-06 | i tried doing that site but i dont know what half the stuff is lol so could someone finmd it for me? the height is 16 and width is 36 (max for trunk) and w/e tuning freq is best for 2 12 inch type r's |
Bronze Member Username: MateoPost Number: 20 Registered: Oct-05 | what is a cuft box? and how do you determine the subs displacement? oh and sorry for asking on you tread...im not trying to take it over or anything. |
Silver Member Username: GoatinU.S.A Post Number: 744 Registered: Jan-06 | 16" H Baisicly the same box I am runing just tuned a bit lower. |
Silver Member Username: GoatinU.S.A Post Number: 745 Registered: Jan-06 | "what is a cuft box?" How many CuFt of air there is inside the box. "and how do you determine the subs displacement?" Depends on the sub most subs come with a sheet that tells you the displacement of the sub. |
Bronze Member Username: MateoPost Number: 21 Registered: Oct-05 | ok and whats the difference between NET volume and regular or is there any? sorry for the dumb question. |
Silver Member Username: GoatinU.S.A Post Number: 748 Registered: Jan-06 | Net is airspace before displacement. Gross is after displacement. Like on a paycheck. |
Bronze Member Username: TippindownPost Number: 45 Registered: Mar-06 | hey rave thanks man do u know exact what it tuned? and how deep is it ? its 19 something but it got cut off |
Bronze Member Username: TippindownPost Number: 46 Registered: Mar-06 | and there also aint a measurment on the second wall of the port, any idea what that is? |
Bronze Member Username: TippindownPost Number: 50 Registered: Mar-06 | well im guessing that the side is just 19 by adding it up but not enough info to tell the the length of the port that goes side to side, u know what it is cuz i wanna get some mdf tomorrow and get the box done |
Bronze Member Username: TippindownPost Number: 52 Registered: Mar-06 | rave?? u know what that measurement is? |
Silver Member Username: GoatinU.S.A Post Number: 762 Registered: Jan-06 | Its 19" on the side and the one I forgot was 4". I am unshure of what it would be tuned to I just know its lower than my box because of port area but it should not be too different you wil have 31" if port that should tune it around 30hz I think . |
