today i decided to set my amp on full pass to see how my sub would sound....heres the strange part

Im getting full frequencies out of my sub,yes even heights i can hear mid freqs. clear as day....

hows this possible....i thought subs only reprduce lower frequencies

that becasue u set it at FULL PASS...that lets the whole signal pass through, dosent matter the size of driver, it will play any frequency, subs just do best low

dan i know what full pass is...lol

i meant that i didnt know that subs are capable of playing full frequencies

That shitty Pioneer & other cheap subs like it does that .

But with a good quality SUB - u never hear higher freqs ......

not true, i think any sub will play those frequencies. i bet the high dollar SQ subs even do it best. just a guess though idk.

cool...well i learned somtn new today..i never knew a sub could play all frequencies...i thought that when u put mid freqs to a sub it distorts it and u cant hear the mids properly but i can hear it clear and it sounds good

oh but wait.....will doin that cause any damage...cause the frequency is higher and it might heat the coil more maybe?

it'll heat the coil less i belive. but idk if it will cause damage in another way. just stop lol. the fun is over :P
