Going for the 10" Assassin

I am thinking about getting the 10" Assassin from Ascendent ($85) as well as Profile AP1000M amp ($159). With this kind of budget, is this the most bang for my money, and also, when selecting an amp for my sub, the important thing is to match up RMS, right? Thanks.
