ok i biuldt my box for 2 vmaxes so its tuned to around 38 hz. it has 2 sepreate chambers and seprate ports. the volume of each chamber is 1.89 cu ft, and the port is 1.5" wide, 14.5" tall and 15" long,

i was thinking about getting 2 SEs to replace my vmaxes so i was thinking mabey i could retune my box. i cant add to the port length because its a wedge box and it just wont work.

heres my question, could i fill in the top and bottom of my ports with boards (a pair of MDFs glued to get my 1.5 wide and make them each 3" tall) to make the port 8.5" tall and the same 1.5"wide and 15" long? if so (correct me if im wrong) woulnd that tune my box to about 31-32Hz(perfect for the SE)?

if i could it would save my building a new box and getting rid of mine

i dont see why this would work unless the tuneing is just off

according to this calculator it will work.

i could be wrong because the first box here
https://www.ecoustics.com/electronics/forum/car-audio/196485.html

has a port smaller than that that he claims to be 42hz

also, how would an SE at about 38 hz (what i have without alterations)?
