i just did the cars fre. an i had the car off an doors an windows closed amp cross over on off gain up cd player eq. off bass @ 0 an loud button on an i turn the vol all the way up an the loudess hz was 60 damn my ears hurt now so i guess my spl port will b 55hz but ill wait till i talk 2 u later an c whta else u want me 2 do ill do this agin 2marr. casue iam not tryin 2 start the car in the garage an fumes an stuff an wait till the day cause its like 930 an my parent wont b home

so sean iam hopefully goin 2 it 2day around 3 its snowin soo ill try an everything flat it sounds the best @ 60hz so when i make my ported box hopefully by diss weekend an put the 1 4inch port in the 2.6cuft box an play the hz tone so what will it have myb 8db louder or more
if u switch from seald 2 portd u gain 3db an marshall gain 8db from his ported box tuned @ 30hz or 32 to his cars fre. an he gaind 8db more so if i gain 8db from my cars fre. plus convertin from the seald ill have myb 11db from the spl port just sayin ill no when i get it meterd in spring system ill b usin is 1 12 jl w3v2 wit an pioneer amp 672w true 2.6cuft box wit all kinds of changable ports an 8g wire but ppl dis is in my moms car mine will b the re 15 sx in a 5.3cuft wit diffrent port hz
so sean better yet how about this 4 my spl box the box 13h 27.5w 18d tuned @ 55hz wit 2 of the jl w3v2 in 1 box the port in the middle thats 11.5h 3.5w an 5.57l an both ho0kd up to the 2 pioneer amps will that work plus ill gain 3db an ill do the same 4 my daily box @ about i dunno yet in the hatch of the fire bird
Well putting two subs in a box meant for one changes the response curve so you wont gain as much spl as you were going to. Its true adding the second sub will give you three db more but you will likely loose more spl on your output than you gain because of changing the box size. Heres a thought do you think you might be able to gain more airspace to equal things out if you built a wall. Other possibilities are removing a seat.
