no way to verify his score unless he scans and emails you his lane sheets or has pics of the car in lanes with the score on display.

is it possible? sure I suppose.
does it sound any good when doing it? no idea.

possible...yes

hard to actually do...YES

if he really does 154.4 legal w/ that setup, that car would be in the top-10 of the loudest dbDrag street-C cars on earth. (if you meters in the legal position w/ the TL)

depends on the person, but the average joe will prolly want to turn it down in less than a minute. (or they will just jump out of the car and run)

i have a buddy that was used to his 2 sealed L7 12's in a single cab truck....he went to a comp with me awhile back. he played mic monkey for my while i did a test and tune w/ a shops Termlab...i was doing back to back 147-148db burps @48hz for about 5minutes. after that he look at me and said, "man...i need a break" and would not get back in the truck for like a hour.

he is 1 of only 3 people in my hometown that has ever even heard my system full tilt...most people only get to hear it w/ my daily port in, and they think it is insane...daily it only does ~140db though. (at 28hz :-))

marshall what db do you think your system is at when you are just casually listening at high volume? would 110-115db be considered loud to be listening to for like 20-30 minutes?

when my Festiva would get into the 140s, most people didn't want to be in the car at all.. let alone for a full minute.

and that was with a SQ system, not a hearing fatiguing SPL setup.

My daily driver is doing 145.6 tuned for 28hz.. I've yet to come across someone who can sit in my truck the whole way and listen to it that loud. Hell I can't even do that.

I don't care to find out.
If I play a system louder than about 135dB I use noise cancelling headphones for protecting my ears.
I value my hearing.
