Placement of new subs. Opinions wanted.

I was told that they wouldn't do all they could in a sealed so I need an alternative, should I use a baffle behind the seat? If I did this should I port the trunk or is it just too much volume? I have a 2001 Pontiac GP and the trunk is deep but only wide in certan points, max 42" towards trunk lid and 35" behind seat. Max depth around 17.5". Any ideas, pictures or drawing very welcome!
