Should my friend go ported or sealed?
And what do you guys think of the sub???
I will also need a good amp suggestion.

I know the sub alone can hit 150db!

Ok, Im leaning towards ported box.
Thnks for article

Chauncey how is it the worst sub?
I know its extremely power hungry, but ill have the power soon. I know they tested the H2 against the DD9515, MTX9500, SoloX18. Pretty hard competition.

So a Kicker25000, pretty cheap these days?

if you think about it, marshall hit 148 with his (1) SX. if u got (2) SXs off the kx2500 that would be double power and double SA so 154db. thats comparing it to marshals though, not guaranteed of course

Trevor, if my buddy hits 146 im sure he will be happy. For certain it will be a ported box. lol
Its going into a Honda Accord. Now just need a huge amp or 2.

im sure a kx2500 will be great for it. i just read the review chauncy posted. it says they LOVE power lol. they had 2400w on hand and it wanted more... the kx2500 should be slightly more than 2500w rms... im sure it will be loud, but you could find a better aplication for 2500w. someone on this forum has to try the audioque HD series one day, ive been dieing to read a review about them... when my friend finally has a car and enough money were giong to put 2 of those 15s (the audioque HD) with a kx2500.1 im going to estimate 150-155db but we'll have to wait and see the actual outcome...

The reason i would say theyre the worst is because i have heard crazy stories about them being cheaply built and very power hungry, also i would not want to change my whole electrical system to conform to 1 sub that might break down after a few weeks. Even if space where limited i would get 2 12 SX's.<<Which should be louder. Its all opinion though if thats what he wants go for it.

yea, everywhere says its a hungry sub.
I read a guy pushing 1700rms to each voice coil!
A bit insane. lol
Another guy I read had a H2 12 with 2500d Orion.

I have to read up on the audioque HD series.
Its alot of good subs, people hadnt tested out there.

The only reason i would get 1 sub that powerful would be for the shock factor, u open the trunk and u only have 1 sub sounding like 2 or 3. That would shock people
