What do they mean when it says they're on pre-order? Does it mean you are pretty much put on a waiting list? Also does anyone know what type of box an anrsenal 12 should be in? the Qts is .538

I'm really thinking about getting one of these things.

It means they haven't produced enough of them yet.

Basically they have a quota for their first shipment, whenever the pre-order ends, you can't get them anymore for that low price, and the pre-order shipments are sent out.

Then, from that point on they basically just sell them as necessary. It's sort of like RE's group buy without the group part. You get the great price and in any quantity that you want. I got some Assassins, they'll be in tomorrow (yay!), so I think I'll go on a nice hour long drive to break them in as well as breaking some eardrums.

Chad from AA e-mailed me he said the arsenals will be available the week after next. they just have to finish putting on the dust caps and the voice coils. Also if anyone else was wondering about the enclosure he told me this...

The Arsenal 12 works very will in 1-1.25
cubic foot
sealed boxes. If you prefer a ported box, I would go with 2 cubic feet
tuned to
32-35 Hz. Both enclosure options sound great, but the ported is
definitely
louder. :-)

Guys, well, I ordered the Assassins, 12". The power ratings, after reading the Arsenal power ratings were way out of my A8000T's league (750W RMS per Arsenal).

Basically, I ordered on Thurs. around 2PM, and the subs will be here tomorrow (Sat. Jan. 21, 2006).

About 2.5 days, by FedEx.

Matt, he told me those EXACT same enclosure specs for the Assassin as well. Basically 1.25 is for more "deep" bass (lower end). 1 is for good response and output in the best of both worlds (low and high end). <1 is for best response in the high end.

Ported, well, you all know how ported works.

Yes, the shipping would have been better than RE. Not to mention, I have a feeling these Assassins MAY outperform SE's. I could be wrong, but that's how it's looking...

Well the price for one Assassin is $95.

My total price with both shipped was $228.76.

One shipped would be...$114.38.

Take off the $95...$19.38 for shipping for ONE sub.

So, $40 for both basically...
