Wiring monitor speaker to car deck

I just got a set of monitor speakers from a friend for free. It's a Fender SQ-12 320W speaker. It has an impedance rating of 2-8Ohms. I was wondering if there was a way to wire this to my car deck via an amp? If not with these speakers, is it possible to do it with any other kind of speakers aside from "car speakers"? Someone told me that I could wire it to my car deck via an amp but that i might blow either my speakers or my amp, because the resistance in home speakers or studio speakers is different than that of car speakers. If that's the case, can I somehow add a resistor in series with the speakers to modify the effective resistance so that they could work properly?

I just want to save money on an expensive subwoofer and woofer box and shove these in my car.

Thanx to all that can help at all!!
