For SQ mcintosh. For options Kenwood XXV-05, pioneer deh-p960, alpine f1 status, eclipse cd8455, what exactly are you looking for?

If your going all out, then the following names are worth checking out...

Clarion DRX 9255
Clarion DRZ 9255
Pioneer ODR or P9
Sony XES (rated as best ever by some)
Sound Monitor (made by Fujustisu-ten)
Sony C90 + xda400r ( I think!!)
Nakamichi CD 700
Alpine F1 status

To name a few. Sound quality is VERY subjective. Thats why you will get some people saying XES is the best, other will say Alpine etc. Some of these units are not made any more so the present excellent value for money. You could spend $300 or so on a mid range deck, or you could buy a DRX 9255. For the quality and price, it can't be beaten.

Another option (which is what i am planning to do) is to purchase a HU with an optical out, and buy a processor with it. Worth checking out.
