My CD player (Pioneer DEH-P9600MP) is on the fritz and I need to buy a replacement. I'm not even sure these two CD players are even in the same class, as Eclipse units are always so highly reguarded. The thing is, the Clarion is 225 shipped off eBay, as opposed to the 492 shipped that the Eclipse is. The Clarion also has 6 volt preouts, so it's closer to the 8 volts that Eclipse offers than some of the other units I looked at.
With my limited experience with various head units(I had an Alpine CDA-9807 for 3 years before deciding to get the Pioneer) I was just hoping to hear any input from anyone who has experience with these units, or similar units.
Also, the unit will be powering 3 400 watt Alpine amps that drive 3 JL 10W6v2's. I'll also be running Rainbow SLC 265's up front off an iPaul amp. Though I haven't bought the components yet, so I'm still open to suggestions on those if you have any.
