i'm thinking about getting a jl 15w1, the power handling is 150 RMS, i have a 1000 watt pioneer amp, how low would i have to turn the amp down so i will n blow this sub?
turning the amp down isnt going to stop the amp from blowing the sub. turning down the gain doesnt change how many watts its gonna put out. a 1000 watt rms amp is going to throw out 1000 watts no matter how far u turn the gain down. so in the end you'll prolly end up blowin the sub no matter what u do. my advice is to go out and get a new amp.
haha, uhm, i just paid 250$ for this amp, and have 2 kove audio armageddon 15s, i'm thinking i might buy a coustic 241SE amp, the 2 15s hit so hard its not even funny and i'm thinking about getting a new car and dont want to put the huge, expensive system in it i just want a system that sounds good.
