I have a serious problem...

I recently bought a sealed JL Audio ProWedge box with 2 12w3's in it with a Kicker KX550.2 amp. The amp is rated @ 550 watts/ 4 ohms.

I previously owned to mtx 12's in a bandpass box with an RF amp that really boomed. I was very happy with it. But it was stolen a couple months ago.

Now I have this new box and amp, why are my ears not pleasing me? Is the amp not powerful enough for my subs? 550 watts should be more than enough for 2 12w3's right?

I need help.

You need to compare apples to apples. In a bandpass, certain bass frequency will sound loud. This doesn't mean it's quality bass.
The ProWedge is sealed, meant more for SQ setup.
If you wanted something similar but with SQ, you should've went vented/ported enclosure.
