I am kind of a novice with car audio...I am going to run the sub off of a mono amp...should I get a dual 2 ohm or dual 4 ohm sub? What would the difference be?

find out what ohm your amp is stable down to. many are 2 ohm, some better ones are 1 ohm.

I will be running a kicker 2500.1 amp. So, I didn't know if I should get a dual 2 ohm or 4ohm sub.

a 4ohm or a 2 ohm sub. 4ohm can run at 4 and 2 and 2 can run at 2.
