Say I have a dox design that calls for a 3" diameter 12" long port. If I don't have the area for a 3" diameter port, could I use 2 1.5" diameter ports at 12" long???? What are the calculations for multiple ports????
i dont believe so, especially since a circle with 1.5" diameter is going to have an area of 1.76 sq. in., and a circle with 3" diameter is going to have an area of around 7 sq. in....big difference
I meant use 2 smaller ports instead of 1 larger one. The number I gave were just an example. At 1.5" the air velocity moving through such a constrained port would be quit noisy!
