I need two 12" subs i can run together at 2 ohms with 1000 watts. I was thinking about getting 2ohm DVC alpine type-r's. Then i found image dynamics IDQ's. I cant find the RMS on those. Which would be better, and where can i find them the cheapest (new)? Are there any other good 2dvc or 4 svc subs i can get for about 150-200 bucks apiece?
Yes! Here. The Type-R's a nice sub, don't get me wrong, but ID is supposed to make an amazing product. But might I offer an additional suggestion, the 2005 model of the Cerwin Vega VMAX. Or RE SE's.
In order though, I'd rank them from best to worst.
1. RE SE (Great overall for sound and will get plenty loud)
2. Cerwin Vega VMAX (2005 model, will get loud, and I believe CV sounds very nice)
3. IDQ (Only ranking it this low because of the power output it provides)
4. Alpine Type-R (Lacks in SQ compared to the others, but has loudness)
OR!!!!!!!
For a total of 1000W RMS, get a couple of VOLFENHAGS!
