Can Some1 Simplify Something 4 Me

I feel dimb for asking this but if i have a 600w amp does this mean i need 2 300w subs? I asked Habib BinLauden at his audio store but i dont speak that. Can someone please help me?

well is it 600w peak or rms if it is 600w rms then it wouldnt be a bad idea to get 2 subs that are 300w rms they could even be a little more or a little less if it is 600w peak then you should look around on the amp or in the manual to find out what the rms rating is

Ok Now i have 2 jl subs that are 400w RMS. What wattage in an amp do I need? I need to this and what to make sure i buy the right stuff the first time around. Thx Bryan B.

If they are 400w rms then the smalest amp that i would get is a 800w rms and i wouldnt get any thing bigger than 1200w rms

Ok Bryan, 1 more question. Who makes a fairly decent amp thats about 800-1000w that is in my prace range. ($200-$400)
