I talked to RE, and a couple other guys on another site, that say those programs are just for general use, and that if you want a GOOD ONE, have in made. Well I want to make one, but after hearing that, what else can you go by, and how do you know it's right? (never built one btw)

There are people on this forum that can design one for you. Some charge a small fee, like $5, others will do it for free.

They include plans on how to build the box, supplies, estimated cost... everything. They need a lot of stuff from you tho... invluding the thiel-small paremeters, what kind of sound you're looking for (spl, sq, sql), every day or competition car, etc... they'll tell you what they need.

So how do I go about doing this? The only thing I can't give them is a pic of the trunk, as I don't have a cam!

You don't need a pic of the trunk, just the dimensions.

jon's a guy that'll do it... there are others, but this is what he'll want.

1) Do you want SQ / SQL / SPL (Sound quality / mix / Pure Loudness)

2) Is this for daily use, competition, or both?

3) What music do you listen to?

4) What are the theile small specs? These will include, but are not limited to: Spl, Qts, Qes, Qms, Vas, Sd, BL, etc

5) What are the maximum desired dimensions for the box?

6) What kind and size of subs do you have?

7) How many subs do you have?

Email me this info and I'll send you a box design.

E-mail = boxbuilder777@yahoo.com

Start by telling someone who knows how to build boxes
What kind of music you listen to?
Are you looking for sq,sql,spl.
How much space do you have to put the box?

WinISD is a good program to use. I have seen it in action on more then one occasion. They just need a larger DB of subs.

Will this allow you to design the box you want an give you the air space. Can you tell it the dimensions on the box that you have in mind and get the air space that way? Do they have any programs that give you designs for a specific model vehicle?

See that's where I don't know either, as I was told it's just a GENERAL idea. I never built one before but sure would like to, have the sub, now just need the smarts! lol

i have built some before for just a square box that is easy to build. but the project that im working on now is a little complex than that.

Where can you get a copy of the program so I can try it out? I have drawing them up in AutoCAD. Now to calculate the air space. But need to get a copy of bass box if I could.

Google Winisd. It's free, but a little complicated to use. Use the tutorial it has, and you should be fine though.

dims are
52 long MAX
can got up to 25 high

Jack.

Yes the program worked. Now that I have my box designed I can help you other guys with yours if you want me too. My box from the program says that it will be able to hit 117db @ 184hz running 75 watts. I don't think that is too bad for a start. That is just goin off a standard box design for my truck now im goin to mess with the numbers to see what I can get if I mod the box a little.
