I'll try to keep this brief. I'm a newbie and I'm looking to build a system from scratch. I'm looking at an Alpine CDA-9815 head unit, a kicker KX800.4 amp, and Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.1 speakers. In a while I hope to have the money for another amp and a subwoofer.

My current problem is that I have a 92 grand am and room for 4x6" speakers in the front and 6x9" speakers in the back and the perfect 6.1s are 6.5". Can/should I make room to fit them in and if not what should I get?

And finally does this system sound like it'll be balanced?

Thanks.

great system design so far.
you can put those 6.1s in the doors. it just takes a little custom work to do it, but they'll fit.
look at the infinity kappa 6x9s for the rear if you want rear fill. they'll give good midbass fill for the roll-off between the 6.1s and whatever you go with for subs later.

Thanks. I think I'm going to go with the 6x9s as per your suggestion.
