a good rule of thumb is for every 500 watts.. a .5 on a capacitor..

example:

1500 watt system.. a 1.5 cap.

that's the way I do it..

i'm going to get a 1 farad capacitor for my new eclipse 15" aluminum I just bought although I will only be running about 600 watts to it. Just because I can :P.. i'm odd. What brands of caps were you looking at if any? I noticed you didn't have any subs picked out yet.

My god I don't even know how to respond to that.... Yeah, be careful man, you just might blow your subs if you don't get a cap. Your right anways, I can see you know soooo much more than me. I think I'm gonna sell my HO alt and buy a cap right now; at least I'll be in with the "fad."

I'd gladly accept anyone's 200F capacitor. It's a great way to power some low current LED flashers. Comes in handy during Christmas.
One more thing, don't mock the 200F!!! It can be used as a shocker. :-)
