ive built a box for my MTX 9500 to mtxs ported specs of 22" by 16" by 15 1/2"....the box specs suggested a slot-port but i dont have any wood left for the inside pieces and i was just wondering if someone could tell me how big of a diameter should i cut for the port and how long the tube should be

12" sub? 4" ID port using PVC
www.bcae1.com has a calculator for port length based on box volume

volume is LxWxH

I'd strongly suggest Aero ports instead of pvc. They're a little pricey, but well woth it. They allow better airflow as well as the ability to change tuning. www.partsexpress.com carries precision ports for about $14 a piece.

PVC is polyvinyl chloride pipe. You can get it at every big box reno, home improvement store (Home Depot, Totem, Lowes, etc) and any plumbing or underground sprinkler store.
