Does IPOD ready mean any MP3 player ready?

I don't own an IPOD, but I own a Dell Pocker DJ. Will I be able to connect it to my Kenwood EZ700SR when I get it? Seems almost every HU says "IPOD Ready" but never "PORTABLE MP3 Player Ready". Any ideas on this? Thank you for any help.

Ipod ready means it has a Apple type Ipod only interface plug. You would still need an Ipod adaptor and Ipod. There is most likely a universal rca input adaptor of somesort, than you could hookup via the haedphone jack. Some HU's have line level inputs.

Worm your deck has a RCA input. Get a mini to RCA adapter. Plug mini into headphone jack and rca into back of the deck. You will have to control navigation of songs from Dell DJ but volume and stuff will be on radio.

Yeah, I bought a Monster RCA to Minijack from Radioshack, plugged it into the AUX and it works fine.
