$250 for everything?
Theres only 1 thing I know of that is in that price range, but I've never heard/delt with it.
It's $170. It's 2 10 inch MA audio subs, inclosure, and the amp to go with it. I'll post the link to it later.

This is new, but it won't have much sq, but it should get pretty loud.
I'd go with the RF's, and the other systems first if thats possable.

I looked at the 12's, don't think the 10's are different, but just incase.
You would bridge the amp, and wire them in parallel first, then in series to get 4 ohms.
Take a look at www.bcae1.com they can prob explain it better than I can.

400??, is it okay if you go used because you can get a good budget system for that. i just did a budget system(not TOTALLY complete but close)

2 kicker cvr w/box-120$
mtx 942.2 amp 225$
amp kit-30$
panasonic cq-7301u(haven't got it still shoppin around)200$

575$ but if you don't count the HU it's only 75$ which is really good on a budget sysem i think

P.S. all that stuff is used except the HU

SO THE WAY TO GO ON A BUDGET IS USED

For spl, try an audiobahn aw1208t. They get really loud, and they don't sound too bad doing it.

Why not just get ONE 15" sub instead of two 12's??? He said that he was just going for SPL, and on a tight budget why not just go with ONE Kicker CompVR on ebay for only 98 bucks
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=58035%26item%3D5789140599 %26%26
Then get this kicker amp and bridge it into a 4 ohm load. It should give the sub 400 watts
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=39737%26item%3D5787910985 %26%26

I dont think that it would be too bad of a setup, and it should cost around 250.

I am new to this stuff, so if you guys disagree, let me and him know.

Or, just get 2 RE12's at 70 bucks apeice. = 140
And get a decent Hifonics Budget amp = 110

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=18796%26item%3D5787900621 %26%26

If bridged it should give each sub 200 watts, and they are 175 rms subs. Also, i would suspect that the amp is a little overated as well.

If i were you i would get the RE12's. I am acutally planning on getting 4 of them very soon. Go to reaudio.com for the specs.

Are the RE12's louder than Infinity 1230.

I like the suggestion of the single 12" Kicker CVR off the kicker amp, as well as the 2 RE12's off the Hifonics amp. Both would be solid chioces.

Would a single kicker 15" cvr15 be as powerfull as two 12" audiobahns. And if so what kind of amp do i need to push the 15"

"Would a single kicker 15" cvr15 be as powerfull as two 12" audiobahns. And if so what kind of amp do i need to push the 15"

No1 can answer this. It depends on the model of audiobahns, enclosure, vehicle acoustics, etc.

I would highly suggest staying away from bandpass boxes if you want any type of SQ what so ever. In fact, stay away from prefab boxes all together if possible. Audiobahn's subs are cheaply manufactured, overrated proucts. Stick with the CVR or RE12.

Anonymous

if i get the CVR 15 what amp would you suggest.

Is this a good deal for a CVR15http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=58035%26item%3D5788036336 %26%26

That's actually a very good deal for the CVR. I paid almost $150 shipped for mine on ebay. you're going to ant an amp that will run at 1ohm stable rated for 500w RMS for the Dual 2ohm version. I'd suggest something from Hifonics as they seem to have great budget amps that run at 1 ohm.

This wouldnt be as loud but you can always get a IDQ-15 with a decent amp. I ran one with a soundstream VGA400.2 (400 watts bridged 4ohm) and it hit prety nicely. and you could pick both of those up for like 350$ the good part about that is it would have good SQ and a decent amount of SPL (but nothing like a IDMAX, Adire, XXX or anything like that

which of the follow ing is the best deal

I wouldnt suggest any of those setups in the pre fab bandpass box. Bandpass boxes tend to yield good output, largely sacrificing SQ doing so however.

I would recommend going with one of the setups that i brought up earlier. You asked for advice but you dont seem to want to take anyones advice. Sorry if that came off a little rude.

It aight. I am being kind of annoying. I am just trying to exhaust all my options. i have decided to go with the Kicker cvr-15 with the hifonics amp. Thanx for ur help.

One last question. What kind of box

I would say that u should go ported. Going with a non sealed box would yeild more SPL. If done correctly, you should have good SQ as well. If you dont get any responses on a box for the sub, post another thread.

I think that both would prob work for you though. In this case i would take the Kicker if you can, it is more reliable the hifonics and shouldnt be overated either.

First off, im glad you looked around. That 2 ohm sub would be a better option then the 4 ohm version, i was just in a little bit of a rush. I will be right back with a good amp for it.

That is a dual 2 ohm sub, so you would need either a 1ohm or 4ohm load to power the sub. Going with a 1ohm load would be cheaper. I would go with the Hifonics BX605. It puts out 600 watts rms at 1 ohm. Like I said, it should be overrated. You can get it on ebay for 118 bucks.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem%26item%3D5788770545&category=18797 %26%26

check with another person to make sure that that amp wont hur the sub. I am somewhat new to car audio myself, so check around with other people on the forum.

Well I have been looking for cheap car audio solutions as well. On crutchfeild you can buy a pair of rockfords for $119, then get any amp youd like.
