They're alright. I had four of them hooked up in my Cherokee I just sold. Get a good amount of power to them in a vented enclosure, and they'll hit pretty good. They're a little week on the high end though. If you want an even better sub, and cheaper, check this out:

IMHO, the Eclipse Ti's are the best sub out there.
I'd get the Eclipse, save the money, and get a better amp. I have a friend with just one, and man, it's d@amn loud for how small it is.

Sorry, the Eclipse is more than the Alpine. But I garentee you you'll like the Eclipse more.

A 10" Type X is pretty far from being the best 10" sub around....

id max wont get as loud, but will sound a tad better
