Hey, ive noticed when im playing a song really loud and then bass hits, it makes a sort of hollow sound, if i turn it down a lil, it hits normal. Is this bottoming out? or is it something in my car?? by the way, I have a 15" XXX with a orion 1200d and a ported box tuned to 27 hz i belive. Anyone have ne ideas?
If that is what it is, (which I can't be sure unless I physically hear the noise), it meens your port area is too small, and it needs to be bigger. The air flowing through the port is moving too fast and it makes a very weird hollow whistle sound.
