i am getting 2 Alpine 12" type R's, DVC at 4ohm. but.. what kind of amp do i need so that i can power these 500W RMS each? oh god.. NOOOOOOooooooo how much is this gonna cost me???
my friend has 2 type rs and he has it running off off of the 1500 phoenix gold octane r amp dno the model number .. u can get em off ebay for around 350 dollar or so ... his system is so loudd ... in a 2.2 cu/ft slot ported box
Depends on how good of an amp you want. I'd go with the JL 1000/1... but that would run around $700, or you could Go with the Hifonics BX1500D for around $200.

Best match up for mid range price is 2 of the MRD-605 amps. One on each sub is the best setup to go with.
man i asked for a price for the jl 1000/1 at a store nearby it was $1800!! wtf is that? thats canadian but still.. is ebay the only place to get them for that much
