Heya's recently got a small amp and sub for my car and was told I need a sort of speaker wire to RCA adapter (cant remember the actual name)

Do I actually need this? Does anyone know if my deck has the RCAs by default? I heard factory one's tend not to but I figured id check before spending the money.

Justin, you got a GM car. Most likely, 99% sure, it doesn't come with any rca ports, unless you purchased the upgraded radio.
Speaker wire to RCA converter will not give you high quality sound. It will however be better than stock radio.
Maybe you can get a new HU in the future.

Its the upgraded radio, the CD AM/FM, tells the radio station, has theftlock and SCV. Highest option one I could get.

In that case, you can either call your GM and ask for the model number/manufacturer and find info on it.
If that's not possible, you can always open up the radio and check the back. This one will take lot of effort and time.
