Sony CDX1200 buttons beep after car tuneup

So after my mechanic did a standard 45000 tuneup on my car -- including unhooking & cleaning the battery -- all the buttons on my Sony player emit an annoying high-pitched beep each time I hit them.

My presets & the clock were wiped out, but everything still works.

I tried hitting the reset button but it doesn't change a thing. Any ideas?

When the deck lost power it got reset. There is a setting for *beep* just turn it to off. It might be hard to find in the maze of menus but it's there. Every sony has the option and if yours was off at one point, it can be turned off again. The old 2 color decks would always revert to amber for the same reason and I would have to make it green again.

I need to find a replacement faceplate for my CDX-1200. I can find a 1300 easy enough, but my car was vandalized, and the faceplate was removed. Can anyone help me find one inexpensively? The deck came with the car I recently purchased. Without the faceplate, I can only hear one FM station, and very loudly. Also, tell me, are these hard to find?

Press 6 and the sound button at the same time to turn it off.
