Greetings,

In my search for subwoofers, I came across eclipse subs. On their website, the dual 2ohm voice coils are said to be 1.8 ohms according to the spec sheet.

For example:

Now if I get an amp that is 1-ohm stable, and I hook up two subs, is .9 ohms going to be a problem? Or is that how most subs are?

Thanks,
Eric

Actually, let me rephrase that.

Lets say I hook up two dvc 4 ohm subs, which actually are 3.8 ohms according to the site, will .95 ohms in parallel be ok on a 1 ohm stable amp?

Yes, subs are never made with voice coils that are exactly 2 or 4 ohms. They just round the numbers.
