Earthquake Amps... not just for SPL burps?

What you guys think about the Powerhouse series? Mainly the bottom two amps listed on the link im providing.. the PHD5000W and the PHD10000W..

I know Earthqauke can put out the power but i thought there distoration rates were extremely high limiting them to SPL Burping only.. but those specs seem very competitive to some high end amps.

If I'm not mistaken, I have heard some horror stories about Earthquake PHD amps (when used daily). Smoke, fire, and some very p1ssed off owners.

I have never actually seen a PHD amp used in a daily driver, but I have seen quite a few used in SPL vehicles. In fact, I just remembered a buddy of mine used to have one in his SPL set up running 4 15's...I'll ask how it treated him and get back to ya.

i use a phd2 as a daily driver. i have never had a problem with it.
