I have $200 to $250 to spend on a deck. I want one of those ones that slides down too :-). What would you recomend for that amount of money? Also, is there any with mp3 capability in that price range?

So you want one with a motorized face and mp3? Panasonic's cq-c8300u or cq-c8400u would do both of those all in your price range, plus they have customizable graphics. I think Kenwoood also might have a few units that meet your specifications, but I don't necessarily reccomend Kenwood's headunits.

Well I checked those up and also came up with these. Tell me which ones you like the best. Also can someone explain to me what cross overs are?

The Clarion is the best deal in my opinion and the Alpine will most likely sound the best.

Crossovers are used when you want to direct sound to the speakers that are supposed to reproduce certain frequencies. You use a high pass filter to play to tweeters and mids(it doesn't play any sound below 150hz for example) and a low pass filter to play to woofers and subs(it doesn't play any sound above 150hz for example). This all results in louder sound and better SQ due to less distortion.

Ok thanks.... I'm going to be getting a 10" x-x-x to fill my small 2 seater mr2. I'm pretty sure this will be enough bass for me. Im gona match it with a hifonics bx1500. The car came with two boston acoustics component speakers in the dash that my friend put in. they're probably like 5 or 6 inches. I want a head unit that will be able to route all of its power to the speakers so that my amp can completely power the subs. Will any HU do this or does that require a specific feature?

Decided on the Clarion DXZ745MP. Few questions.

1 ) I have to put money into my suspension right now so I might not be buying it right away. From experience, do these deals usually disapear or go out of stock? Or do you think the price will only decrease if I wait.

2) My car is running high 13's. How much weight do you think the 10" x-x-x, hifonics bx1500 amp, and the head unit will add to my car as far as weight goes?

THANKS

1) The deals last 2 or 3 months from what I have seen. Even if you miss one, you're guaranteed to find it cheaper on ebay or possibly get an updated model for the same price.

2)It shouldn't weigh more than 50 pounds i'm guessing.

I would get the Clarion as soon as you can. I've been watching it on ebay for about 6 months. The supplies on the internet are decreasing rapidly. The prices seem to be stable or going up a bit.

I just bought the DXZ745MP on eBay for $180 including shipping. Its refurbished but comes with a 90 day warranty from Clarion.

The Clarion doesn't come with High Pass filters but any good amp should have those.
