Hello, I was about to plunk down my money for a Eclipse cd8053 when a dealer offered me the cd8051 and the cd8052 ...are they as he claims essentially the same units?? Eclipse's website is of no help here.

I have the 8053 and prefer it to the 8052. The 8053 has rubber or synthetic knobs and the 8051 and 8052 have plastic and rubber ones. I believe the display is more crisp on the 8053 and when coupled with the Eclipse Commander you can play Mp3's from a cd...
Hi, I have an 8051 that I am selling. I upgraded to an Alpine unit so that I could have XM. The radio is like brand new, in the box with everything that it came with. I take very good care of my equipment.
