the speaker I got does sound as terrible as people make it seem. it sounds good to a certain level then the sub starts to make like a stepping on a pop can noise on certain beats. at first i thought i broke the speaker until i let it play though and i figured out it just a sh*ty noise the sub makes when extremly loud but the sq at reasonable level isnt terrible
