hey i just baught a new Hifonics BX1500 d amp and 2 alpine R type 1242d subs and some ppl told me i didnt have to replace my regular radio in my 2002 jeep liberty limited but.......i am so confused at how to hook my new amp up to my radio
u can use speaker wire from your deck if your amp has a high level input but i dont think it does. so what u will need to do is buy a converter to change your speaker wire to rca. it will run u about 20-30 dollars at a local car audio shop
of course you don't have to replace the stock radio, and you could convert your wires to RCA, but it would be better to get a deck with preouts like hunter said, and you'll also have more options for adjusting your sound that way
