Hey out there, I have a Clarion DXZ835MP Head unit in my truck....It has worked perfect for about two years now...

Recently some discs that I try to play, the unit gives me a "Error 6" message on the display. This problem is happeniong more and more and it is starting to get aggrivating....

Does anyone know what the heck this error message means???//?

My manual(For a DXZ945MP) states that it is because you loaded the disc in the unit upside down which I doubt is the case. You might try using a CD lens cleaner, and if that doesn't work, you might want to take it in for service.

Thanks for the reply Jexxen. I am not loading the discs upside down, so???

I will give the lense cleaner a try...do those cleaners really work....or do you think it should be looked at professionally??

Anyway thanks...

Yeah, the lens cleaners really do work. I normally just use a small amount of rubbing alcohol to clean the lens' in CD players i've had.

But it would be worth it to try a lens cleaner-they're cheap and re-usable.
