this has to be a stupid question, but i have 4x 5x8 speakers in my ranger. I am upgrading them, and i knowtice they have "component systems". I see the mids go where my normal speakers go, the tweeters are sepearte, that makes sense... But What the hell are those weird shaped box things that come with them? are component systems alot better than standard 6x8 speakers, im going to get the infinity kappa 6x8 speakers, or the component system, the component one is $20 more. Also where do you mount tweeters? just anywhere you want?
The box is a crossover...most people will tell you better sound comes from the components...tweeter location depends on the vehicle and the speaker...where have you been posting to get 82 posts?
