how thick should plexi glass be when using it for sub boxes?...im thinking about 3/4" is that right? and do most boxes use 3/4" mdf??? which one would be better to close off a bandbass box? thanx in advance...

Best advice would be to not make a bandpass box.

Not inches thick, lol. Using plexi glass i heard doesent sound as loud as using MDF would. Because of the density or whatnot im pretty sure

plexi will flex more then MDF depending on the thickness

pharoh and brandon, he isnt using it for a box, hes giving a nice look to a bandpass box, like the front you know

oh ok, the only problem with plexi windows like in bandpass boxes is they are hard to seal and keep the edges around the plexi and carpet clean looking.
if you put the plexi on top of the carpit and screw through it(like most pre-rab bandpass boxes), it leaks and will losen up easily
if you screw the plexi down then carpit, its hard to get the carpit to stick and stay down. also hard to get a clean cut edge.
1/4 inch is the thickness they usually are i think
