1250rms is good for the sub assuming it puts out a full 1250rms.

But for the $700 you can get a Zapco REF 1100.1 that puts out 1100rms at 2ohm (get a custom 4ohm sub) and that would outpower the kicker amp for about the same price if not cheaper with alot better sound. Hit me up if your interested on the Zapco i can get you a good price from an authorized dealer.

that SX1250.1 will prolly bench at about 1400wrms...most kicker amps are underrated.

i have seen kx1200.1 that bench at 1500w+. that sx1250.1 should be a nice clean amp to run your x.x.x. on. kicer amps pretty nice, i am about to buy a kx1200.1 for my SX15.

that zapco amp that TraGedy suggested would be a nice amp also.

I used to have a boss r1400d...its was "rated" for like 1400w at 1ohm and had a 40A fuse. Then i got a jbl bp600.1. The bp600.1 handed the boss its a$$...lol

Most of the KX600.1's I have seen benched at 700w+.

So a kicker KX 600.1 is good enough to run one Kicker L7 (4ohm,750 watt rms)?

i had a jbl bp600.1 and there is no way that amp pushed only 600 watts that thing pounded the feces out of my type rs

yea...a kx600.1 would be a great match for an L7. (dvc 4ohm)

alpinethumping,
i used to have a bp600.1...it is a darn good lil amp. I ran it on an L5 12" and then switched over to a brahma 10"...i was doing ~134db w/ the brahma 10" on that bp600.1...and it sounded great. Now i use a bp1200.1 and it hammers on my SX15 (145db+). For price, you cant beat the JBL BP series...IMO. Its to bad JBL discontinued them. I'm prolly bout to ebay my bp1200.1 so i can get an amp to run in USACi 0-300w class though.

what about the Kicker kx800.2...bridge that to run the L7...or will that be over powering the woofer?(RMS Power (WATTS/CHANNEL), 2 Ohm Stereo: 425W x 2
RMS Power (WATTS/CHANNEL), 4 Ohm Bridged Mono: 850W)

that amp would run 2 kicker L7s if you got the dual 4 ohm version and wired them at 2 ohms and ran the amp in stereo, well depending on the size of subs, i know for sure that would be enough for 2 S10L7s

You cant wire a pair of DVC 4ohm subs to get a final nominal load of 2ohms. You could do it w/ a pair of DVC 2ohm subs though.

W/ a pair of dvc 4ohm subs you can get a 1ohm, 4ohm, or 16ohm load.

I would run the kx600.1 on the L7 if i were you. The kx800.2 may be a lil too much power, and if you clip the amp you will fry your sub in a heartbeat. If you go w/ the kx600.1 get a dvc 4ohm sub.....or get a DVC 2ohm sub if you go w/ the kx800.2.

You can wire two dual 4 ohm subs for a 2 ohm load with each sub, i didnt mean together but the amp is 2 channel and 425 watts per channel at 2 ohms in stereo operation. Just b/c you are using 2 subs doesnt mean you have to wire them together. If you have the money get the kx800.2 and two dual 4 ohm L7s.

Kenny...I understand exactly what you are saying.

But if you have 2 subs that have a 2ohm nominal load each (dvc 4ohm subs wired parrallel) and wire each sub in parrallel to a 2ch amp (one sub to each channel)...then the amp will see a 1ohm load. This is why I say that you can only get a 1 or 4ohm load out of two DVC 4ohm subs.

Quinton Choudree...if that sub is a DVC 4ohm sub, then yes. The 600.1 would be a good amp for that sub.

to achieve a 1 ohm load wouldnt you have to wire both subs together like this?

yeah i know that but marshall is trying to tell me if you wire each sub like the picture below and hook them up to separate channels on an amp the amp still sees a 1 ohm load, is that right?
