Whats the difference between vented and ported boxs? I am looking at making one for my alpine r's, which one would they sound better in? Also, does anyone know where i can get a HO alternator for a jetta

Youd be better off getting it custom built or building it on your own dude. Throwing subs in a random box doesnt always work out for the best. This will cost you more but the ed boxes look really well built : edesignaudio.com do one of their inquries on a custom ported box or pick a preset size/ tune from their menu.
Yea whatever subs you get make the box with the specs from the subwoofer manual it will tell you all the cubic feet and what to tune to box to and thats how u get the best from your subwoofers ported.
