hey i was just wondering im not hearing much about alpine on this board maybe over in usa it might not be a big brand but in australia its pretty big so i was just wondering if anyones got a type x 12" sub if so how does it sound? does it pump hard? i was told it was designed specifically for SQ?
alpine head units are great, speakers are clear but not the best and subs are just good for the money. theres just much louder subs then the alpines (since your posting in the sub section)
with 83db sensitivity it not going to hit as hard as pretty much any other sub with the same amount of power running too it. but run enough power to it and it will hit hard enough, and still sound good doing it (hopefully). i'll let you know how mine sounds when it comes in the mail. i'll be running 1000W RMS to it and i have a few different boxes to experiment with (1 ported and 2 sealed)

pretty good sq sub. will hit pretty low. rattles the whole car. need a lot of power. overall i'm pretty pleased with performance although never satisfied...
