I have a question. . .A buddy of mine who is studying at Mobile Dynamics (I go next march - Yay!) had an intersting conversation with one of the teachers there. The teacher said that if you were allowed to pressurize your car (The figure he used was 2 lbs/square inch) in an SPL competition, you'd be able to hit 180db's with only 1 watt.
Ok, so maybe I can see how a pressurized cabin would facilitate more pressure being put on the mic... but I thought 180 was atmospherically impossible? ...Or does the pressure negate that?
Help, I need to put this to rest.

there is apost like this in amps, supposedlty earths atmospshere only alows 180, but you can BEND the rules, like in super port wars someone hit 181 dbs, and under and rocket it hits 200 db's because chemicals change the atmosphere...i guess anything is possiuble
