I have an 9813 that I had installed in the glove box of my 1966 Lemans so not to mess with the dash. I also had 4" kappa's up front and Kenwood KFC-XR901 6x9 in the rear. They did a great job, and it sound pretty good. I even get some good bass from the rear. My question is...what differece is it going to make that they did not run the wire kit to the battery for the V drive amp. Should I have it done. I don't mind if it really is going to make a difference in sound. Oh! i am not using any other amp or anything, just the HU. Thanks

it may make for cleaner sound with less distortion due to clipping but primarily, what you'll gain is less chance of burning up the wiring from current draw.
a single 10AWG line to the battery's positive terminal with an inline fuse for ~110A draw is sufficient for that unit.
good unit, nice car.
I used to mess with a few 68 and 70 GTOs and Judges a friend had.

correction, 110 watts, not amps.
sorry, I wasn't thinking.
that's about a 10-15A fuse. should be plenty.
