What could be the problem

last year after i blew my subs and had new ones sent to me they didn't work for some reason my amp came on and everything so i sent my amp in and got it checked out yesterday i took the subs in the house and checked them on my home stereo they worked fine i put them back in the box and hooked them up in my car they worked for about 15 minutes then cut out i checked all the fuses and my wiring what else could be wrong

no the subs aren't working today it used to overheat alot tho

yeah man the amp comes on but i'm not getting any noise out of the subs i noticed that when i hooked them up in the house one set of + - posts on each sub didn't work

You probably blew a voice coil.

or is there anyway i can fix that cuz i really don't wanna have to eat these subs i haven't even used them but like once

I'm not totally sure if it is a blown vc, but thats what it sounds like. Try hooking just one voice coil up to the amp once and try it. Don't play it for long, just see if it works.

but if the voice coil was blown would the sub not produce any sound at all
