After playing my system too loud, my auto-protect feature on my amp initiated. Ever since then I am not able to turn up the subs very much before the auto-protect turns on again. The fact that everything works lessens my worries, but I am not sure what might have happened. If anyone has any ideas, please share. Just ask for more details if you need them. Thanks.

Check your gain/level setting on the amp. If it is set too high, it'll shut down. If you operate the amp with incorrect gain/level setting, it will eventually break down.

Yes, gain was too high. Is the damage fixable ? If so, approximately how much will it cost to fix ? Any other options ?

CIA? Are they related to FBI? Just kidding.
Before you repair anything, make sure your amp is worth 2x the repair cost, or else it's not worth fixing.
Lower the gain/level setting and see if it still shuts down. If so, then it'll need fixing/replacing.
