With my multimeter is it possible to messure wattage from a sub? If a guy wanted to test out a used sub that didnt seem to be performing up to par what would you folks suggest? (I wanted to give it a test before I shelled out 350 on the sub I want...)
you can test basic DSR or DC resistance with the meter. you'd need more advanced gear to test more than that, like impedance curve. to test an amplifier's output, you'd need an oscilloscope, a non-inductive dummy load, and a true-RMS meter, as well as a stable, regulated high current DC power supply.
