got the streetwire amp kit, and it shows on the diagram thing 3 big wires, one from battery to fuse from fuse to amp from amp to ground, i only got 2 big wires, the big red one has a metal loop on it like the one that goes to the battery....am i supposed to cut that part off and use that to ground it??
There should be 1 long red one, and 1 much shorter black one for the ground. Some times they add a 2nd shorter red wire, so you don't have to cut the first one when you put your inline fuse in. If you have just 2 large wires, then the longest one is gonna be your power, you'd want to cut a foot or too off the end, connect that to your batter, put the inline fuse in, and then put the other cut end into the other side of the inline fuse. You want the fuse closest to the power source as possible.
